Kodak took top honors in Business Solutions’ ‘Best Channel Products’ for 2011 for the Forms Processing Software category. KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5 scored as one of the highest among voters in the channel for its “Product Reliability/Durability,” “Ease of Upgrade” and “VAR’s Ability to Service.” KODAK Capture Pro Software continues to help customers and end users address their productivity needs, with features including enhanced image processing capabilities and enhanced integration with MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT and other ECM systems. KODAK Capture Pro Software is available for standalone workstation configurations or networked enterprise installations.

Kodak Wins in Better Buys for Business Editor’s Choice Award Guides
 
Better Buys for Business’ (BBB), Editor’s Choice Award Guide, an independent consumer guide to document imaging equipment, awarded Kodak with numerous industry recognitions for 2011. The spring edition of BBB’s Editor’s Choice Award Guide, scan-to-file category, presented Kodak with an ‘Editor’s Choice’ award for the KODAK i2000 Series Scanners. Better Buys for Business specifically applauded Kodak’s innovation in the i2000 Series Scanners including new design [“stow-or-go”] and imaging features. BBB stated, “The i2000 family has very strong features combined in their elegant and compact design. We give them our Editor’s Choice Award.”

Kodak Receives Prestigious ‘Pick’ awards in all of BLI’s scanner categories
 
Kodak received industry recognition from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI,) with Summer 2011 ‘Pick’ awards sweeping all three of BLI’s scanner nomination categories. Honors included:

KODAK i5600 Scanner, “Outstanding 130-to-170 ppm A3 Production Scanner” KODAK i2800 Scanner, “Outstanding 60-to-80 ppm A4 Departmental Scanner” KODAK i2400 Scanner, “Outstanding 20-to-40 ppm A4 Workgroup Scanner”

BLI noted the i5600 for “…scanning more pages than any other scanner tested, with nary a misfeed, [the i5600] offers the fastest scan speeds of any scanners tested, above average overall OCR accuracy and a cost per scan that’s more than 58 percent lower than the average of comparable desktop devices in its class.”
“The i5600 was the first scanner we tested with too many strengths to list and not a single weakness,” said Lisa Reider, BLI’s senior product editor for scanners.
BLI also acknowledged Kodak’s innovative features in the i2000 Series Scanners, including the series’ three-year warranty offers, low total-cost-of ownership and easy to use hardware and software.

Kodak wins ‘Best of FOSE’ award at the 2011 FOSE Conference and Exposition
 
The KODAK i2800 Scanner was recognized by Government Computer News (GCN) with a ‘Best of FOSE’ award in the peripherals category. GCN staffers, consisting of writers, editors and researchers, judged outstanding and innovative IT products best suited for government use. GCN’s follow-up article to the ‘Best of FOSE’ applauded the i2800’s portability, in addition to its strength in speed, with the abilities to function as a departmental scanner within a smaller organization.
